About Helena

Helena Hains is an author, speaker, and educator on a mission to help new teachers build classrooms that run themselves so they can work less, impact more, and stay in the profession they love.

After experiencing teacher burnout early in her career, Helena began developing practical classroom systems that allowed her to leave at contract time while creating calm, student-run classrooms. Today, she shares those strategies through professional development, speaking engagements, online programs, and The Present Teacher Podcast, helping thousands of educators create sustainable careers without sacrificing their impact.

Helena is the author of That New Teacher Next Door and has been featured on We Are Teachers for her practical, teacher-first approach to classroom management and sustainability.

After each session, teachers will be able to:

  • Build systems that reduce daily workload.
  • Increase student independence.
  • Prevent many classroom management issues before they occur.
  • Leave school with greater confidence.
  • Create sustainable routines that reduce burnout.
  • Rediscover the joy of teaching.
